Dr. Annie Powers has been practicing as a clinical psychologist since 2005. She was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri and is fortunate to practice in and serve the community where she grew up and where most of her family continues to reside. She attended Missouri State University for her undergraduate degree and started her master’s degree in clinical psychology with Missouri State University before transferring to Forest Institute of Professional Psychology to finish her master’s degree followed by her doctorate in clinical psychology with a focus in neuropsychology.
Throughout her career, she has provided individual therapy to patients with a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, bipolar, acute stress disorder, PTSD, grief, relationship issues, treatment for insomnia, Suboxone supportive therapy as well as conducting chronic pain evaluations, DFS evaluations, assessments for spinal cord stimulators, pre-surgical bariatric evaluations, and neuropsychological assessments. She taught undergraduate psychology courses for a period of time at University of Phoenix from 2009 to 2017.
She is a Master Gardener and loves learning about anything related to plants and enjoys cultivating, harvesting, and beautifying the environment around her. In addition to gardening, she enjoys spending time with her family and two high-energy, rambunctious Labrador dogs.
